The Street Chopper Summer Issue – What’s It All Mean?

Ignition
We've been jamming forward, wide-open throttle in Fourth gear to get Street Chopper back in your hands. If you've been around awhile, thanks for checking it out. If you're new to the mag-welcome. We geared up over the past couple of months, waiting for the best riding weather to unleash this special Summer issue packed with over a dozen of the coolest handmade custom scoots. Some started out as a rolling platform from the Factory, others are ground-up artistic, spiritual creations. There's nothing necessarily wrong with stock bikes, new leathers, or orange safety vests. This book isn't about that scene. Folks are drawn to a variety of bikes for different reasons and purposes. Kick back, enjoy, and take the ride.

AWESOME Awareness Video
Another awesome awareness video…this time from our friends in England. This along with the other awareness videos from Australia shows that we can learn something from our worldwide neighbors:
FYI…I made the count but barely caught the other item the first time I saw it (I caught it as it was leaving and missed the WHOLE THING till the review.
Simply…we’re back on the road Alaska, so please look twice and save a life.
Baby Is Home!
She was delivered today, and while the itch was hard not to scratch I have decided to follow my own advice (http://hogbiker.com/2008/03/12/yo-its-still-trike-season/111) and not jump the gun and ride early.
She is looking good though…storage did not hurt her a bit!
As a matter of fact, since she is in such good shape I may consider storing the bike every winter (that way things like dust, debris, kids, grandkids, Minx or I don’t constantly bombard the bike).
She is certainly looking good and she started up like a champ.
I can’t wait for the weather to warm up just a little to get her out on the road…with Minx, of course (I’m not willing to suffer the pains of a solo inaugural ride).
Yo! It’s Still TRIKE SEASON!!!!!
Earlier this week one of our friends went down on her birthday. Luckily for all of us the biggest damage was to her pride and her bike.
Now I know the roads look good…they really do, but there is still ice out there!
And that’s not the worst of it!
Lets not forget our old friend…gravel. Every year they toss gravel and salt on our roads. Salt melts away with the snow, but gravel stays to become a dangerous hazard to the motorcyclist.
I realize it’s cool to say you’ve ridden…sure, I’ll grant that. But is it worth limb? Your bike? Worse yet…your life?!?
I guess I’ve gotten up enough in years to realize I’d rather wait now than risk not being able to ride during the short season we do have.
If you feel you have to prove something, prove you can ride during the riding season – ride in all the bad weather and put miles on.
Please….don’t get the throttle stuck on stupid.
Gallery Is BACK!!!!
Though it’s not EXACTLY the way I want it, the pictures are back. Now that there is more available space, I’ll start adding more of the older pictures back.
Enjoy
