Baby’s BACK!
She was rolled in this evening and is now in her hallowed place for the winter. I’ll get her up on the lift and covered tomorrow (have to move a few thing around to make it perfect).
Just seems right to have the bike in the garage….just does.
The garage seems so empty….
I never thought I’d say that while the bike is in the shop during the deep freeze (we’ve had subzero temperatures), but it really does seem strange not to see the bike in the garage.
Even though I’m not riding I guess the feeling of being connected to the bike is still there.
Maybe that’s the essence of being a biker…that connection between rider and machine. The longing to be flying at ground level.
Soon she’ll be back and we can wait out the cold…together.
Guess it’s really over….
I got one last ride in after the snow plow did our driveways. Rode about forty feet in the freshly plowed culdesack and then back into the garage.
Now it’s time to get the bike winterized and admit that the riding season is officially over.
